Exciting News and A Blogoversary Giveaway


We have been planning this for a while and now it is done. I have partnered with my friend Shells to offer handmade sock bags for sale. These are available for sale at Shells' etsy shop. Initially we have three different patterns for sale but it may add more if this venture takes off,InshaAllah. We also plan to introduce another line of bags. Also check out Shells gorgeous handspun! (it seems we had our first sale, alhamdoLillah :D )



And this has almost coincided with my blogoversay so I am going to offer one bag as a giveaway (I have multiples). Just comment on this post, stating the one you like best and that gets you an entry. You can link to the giveaway and earn another entry. (Just be sure to add the link's link in your comment.) the giveaway closes July 31, and I will have a draw on 1st August.

    I like the purple one...would it be wrong to use them to carry thread for doilies instead of sock yarn???

    Gorgeous concept! I love how you made the underside of the strap a complimenting pattern.

    For me, has to be the blue one (though they are all lovely - I'm just a sucker for blue)

    Not really fair of me to comment since I have some of them in my possession, but for statistical data, I'd not be able to choose between the blue and the pink/orange combo. I think this is my love of bright colors shining through.

    These bags are truly wonderful for more than knitting projects. I use mine for a sock project bag, but I also use it to hold my cash/ID/cell phone when I go on a bike ride. I just stick it in the bike bag, and then pull it out and strap it over my wrist when I get to a destination. I also use it when I change to a handbag that doesn't have enough pockets!

    I love the pink flowers. These are definitely a great idea for those small projects. I'm attempting my first crocheted socks and need a place to keep them while I work. Thanks!

    They are all so cute. The first bag would be my first choice, just love blues and the hearts are a nice touch!

    I love the blue roses. It combines my two hobbies--knitting (esp. socks) and rose gardening. Blue roses are every rose gardener's fantasy!

    I'm with the others who are having a hard time choosing. In the end, I think I'd choose the pink. I have a little boy, so I don't get to play with a lot of girly colors.

    I love reading your blog and seeing how similar we are, despite the obvious differences in geography and religion. Your children are so beautiful, I am sure they have a beautiful mother, and certainly a crafty and loving one.

    I love the bags! I would love to receive one, and if my car had not just had an expensive repair I have to go pay for today, I would order one from your shop today!
