While putting up my patterns/ projects at ravelry, I thought of a few of my older bags. So I took them out, and shot some photos. Here they are:

The first one is about 12 years old out of a magazine (Burda).

These last two were my own design.

Ravelry: I'm in!

After a wait of exactly two months, I finally got an invite from ravelry yesterday. I'm checking out the site now. It seems very nice. The only problem is that now my time on internet is likely to increase and the household chores will suffer. Also goodbye sleep.

Eid clothes

Yesterday, I managed to finish Eid clothes for my kids. For my daughter, I have sewn blue shirt with turkish pants, both embellished with gota and sitara.

For my son, I have sewn the traditional shalwar kameez with a little emroidery at the neck. I am relatively new at sewing and am quite happy with the results.

8 things about me!

1. I'm a sweet, loving wife to a sweet, loving husband and not-so-sweet amma to two kids.
2. I'm a muslim. Islam means a great way of life for us, leaving us in peace, having a reason to be on this earth.
3. Although I am a stay-at-home amma at present, I have been a doctor in the recent past.
4. Though at quiet person by many standards, I am a chatterbox when compared to a much quieter hubby.
5. I have always been a bookworm and love to read.
6. My other loves include knitting and crochet. Love yarns, hooks and needles of all kinds.
7. I can cook well enough but am more passionate about eating than cooking.
8. Well butterfingers describes it best. You see I have a tendency to let things slip out of my hands. We have gone through 2-3 sets of glasses in the past three years. Another nickname " living catastrophe".

It's Ramadan

Entrelac crochet handbag

This is my latest creation that I finished today. I plan to give it as a gift. I had these handles lying around for a very long time and always thought to use them someday., but as yellow is not the most obvious choice for handbag, I always put it off. Well I am glad I finally did it.

I have used flower print yellow cotton fabric to line the bag and placed cardboard within it for the bottom.

Cable vest

At last, I was able to finish the vest for my son. It is a Lionbrand free pattern and it effectively used up some leftover yarn. Also my son seems happy with it.

Next I will be switching gears and start some sewing projects as Ramadan is round the corner and family needs Eid clothes.
