Exciting News and A Blogoversary Giveaway

We have been planning this for a while and now it is done. I have partnered with my friend Shells to offer handmade sock bags for sale. These are available for sale at Shells' etsy shop. Initially we have three different patterns for sale but it may add more if this venture takes off,InshaAllah. We also plan to introduce another line of bags. Also check out Shells gorgeous handspun! (it seems we had our first sale, alhamdoLillah :D )

My Blog Turns One Today!

Today is my blog's first blogoversary. In this one year this blog has become a regular part of my routine I have tremendously enjoyed the experience. At this momentous (LOL) occassion, I thought I should celebrate by a summary of some of the blog stats:

My Blogoversary Contest

I have the first anniversary of my blog coming up. The past year was so much fun and I love blogging. It gives me the extra impetus to finish my projects and share my meagre designs. So going the well-trodden way, I have decided to celebrate my blogoversary with a small contest.
Just leave me a interesting comment on this post and I will add your name to the prize draw. The prize will be a handmade sockbag like the ones I showed in a previous post.(I'm sorry there is no exotic stuff). Also mention in your comment the fabric print that you like best. A Few Sock Bags

I made these early in June for RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) at the RAK group , ravelry. The first one had a accessories pouch with it, others went solo. These are made from 100% cotton (Pakistani, of course) with coordinated lining and interfacing in between. This tutorial was very helpful, though I added tags on both ends of the zipper for easy opening and closure.

I have some fabric leftover for three more. So I was thinking.....hmmm... maybe a few more RAK or a blog contest!!??
